Ten years ago, not everyone could get into showbiz. It usually started with a trek to California or New York, finding a cheap a place to call home, working as a waiter or waitress, going to thousands of auditions and just hoping to be discovered. Some people were lucky or unlucky enough to have their parents pushing them into showbiz as a child star in commercials and just happened to be discovered in the latest cereal commercial. Either way, this process was never easy and could take years to get anywhere. Today, the process is not so laborious to get a foot into showbiz. All one has to do is get on a reality show and hopefully stay on long enough for the nation to remember you. Even if you are not memorable, you could always get one another one. But are you ready for showbiz and what it demands of you?
Assuming that you are now famous, you now have the media everywhere you go. You have to be looking your best when you simply go to buy a bagel or make that quick run to the grocery store. You now have to say the right thing in case you are quoted in the tabloids and you will pray that your cousin does not decide to hold up the bank because that will look bad on you, too. Oh yes, now you have friends, so many that you no longer remember who they are but you have become very aware of what everyone wants. Things may not bother most people but if you think that these things are unbearable then maybe accounting for a career was not a bad idea.
